Since 1997, ada-art has aimed to bring together diverse forms of artistic and cultural expression.
Exhibitions and workshops are organized in fields such as dance, theatre, yoga, painting, sculpture, and ecological architecture.
Mehmet Şenol, the founder of ada-art, contributes as both an architect and an artist, taking the creative lead on projects; Christina Schray, a performance artist and cultural manager, directs ada-art and guides artists in their projects.
ada-art is located in a quiet bay in the south of the island, neighboring the village of Gündoğdu.
On the southern side of the site, directly by the sea, there is a guesthouse; to the north, among olive trees, stands the “Salon Artiste.”
While the guesthouse offers artists a comfortable space for accommodation, rest, and work, the 100 m² salon—built entirely of natural stone and wood—provides an ideal setting for all kinds of artistic activities.
Marmara Island has an inspiring atmosphere for artists with its characteristic olive trees, marble, and history.
Artists can use the available spaces seasonally for their own projects.
‘salon artiste’ and its surroundings

The “salon artiste” was built in 1997 with a floor area of 100 m², using natural stone and wood.
It is not just a space, but a living place for creating, sharing, and finding inspiration.
At the “salon artiste” and its surroundings, events deeply connected with art and culture are organised. From art exhibitions to theatre performances, yoga gatherings, painting workshops, music studio projects and many other diverse experiences — life comes alive here.
Artists staying in the guesthouse can use the “salon artiste” according to their own creative rhythm: whether to work, rehearse, or simply be alone with inspiration.
guesthouse and garden

The Guesthouse is not just a place to stay; it’s a space where you can slow down, create, and share.
In the garden, you can either relax or come together for activities.
The beach area, where you can enjoy the sun and the sea, is perfect for slowing down the pace of the day.
The garden and terrace also provide open spaces for those who want to work and create.
There are inspiring corners outdoors for writing, drawing, thinking, or collaborating.
